Important Information for Colgate Games

Final Training
Wednesday 3rd of January 9am, Walker Park. I will have the club jackets for those who ordered one.
Club Jackets
If you ordered a club jacket, the club has decided to subsidize 50% of the cost. The cost to you is therefore $35.00 per jacket. This is payable into the club account at your earliest convenience. Please use your childs name as the reference.
Event Entry
Athletes wristbands and pre-purchased spectator 3 day passes will be available from Tania once she has collected the team pack on Thursday 4th of January. These can be collected from 6 Seacombe Ave, Pt Chevalier (Day before the event). Time for collection is before 4pm or after 7pm. Please respect these times and ensure you collect your passes in advance to avoid additional pressure on Tania.
If you have not purchased a pre-paid pass, you can purchase these from the souvenir shop located at Athletics Auckland, 51 O’Rorke Rd adjacent to the main entrance (See map) Daily entry is $6 per person, otherwise you can still purchase a 3 day pass.
Parking Passes
ONSITE PARKING HAS SOLD NOW SOLD OUT: If you have pre-booked a car parking pass, can you please email me as soon as possible to advise. The local organising committee have asked for one point of contact per club to collect the car passes. I will arrange collection of the passes on Thursday. The passes will then go into the team pack and Tania will have these for collection on Thursday evening. Please pay Tania $10.00 cash when you pick up the car park pass. Unexpectedly demand super exceeded supply and these limited spaces sold out very quickly.
Souvenir T-Shirts
Souvenir T-shirts are available for purchase from the souvenir shop. They are $25 each. There is a limited run, so I strongly recommend you get in early to avoid disappointment.
Programme
If you pre ordered a programme, these will be available from Tania on Thursday. If you didn’t order one you can purchase these from the souvenir shop, like the T-shirts there is a limited number so get in as early as possible.
Club Gazebo
The club Gazebo will be set up in Tent City, look out for the club and professionals banners. Please note that your gear is your responsibility at all times. Please do not leave gear unsupervised. Tent city is located next to the main entrance off O’Rorke Road. See the map below. We will need help setting this up and taking it down each day please.
Club duty
Pt Chevalier has been rostered on catering for the officials for the entire 3 days. Anne and Tina are leading this for the club, but from time to time we may require assistance in the Johnny Walker Lounge (Adjacent to Tent City) with tidying up and setting up for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Please pop in and help in your downtime where you can.
Uniform
Please ensure that you have the correctly branded club singlet (Professionals) your colgate age patch sewn to the front of your singlet. Plain black shorts only no logo’s, stripes or any other colour. If your child needs to wear a tee shirt underneath please ensure it is black or white. You are representing the club and need to adhere to the uniform policy.
What should you pack?
The weather is not looking flash for the entire games 🙁 let’s hope that the met service has got this wrong. Please ensure you check the forecast each day and pack appropriately. It is forecast to rain, so be prepared.
We have booked a space in ‘tent city’ we will have the club gazebo as a chill out and catch up area, feel free to bring your picnic blankets or chairs, plenty of sunscreen, hats, towels, cooler bags, water and nutritious packed food and snacks. Please note that there is a ban on commercial food products, for example: you will not be allowed to bring Mcdonalds into the grounds for this event. This is to do with the contract between Mt Smart and their caterer. There will be food trucks available for top up snacks.
